My new hobby

I have started sewing and quilting. This is something I have alway done, but usually it is a thing I done every once and awhile.
Well, now I would like to do a lot more of it. Last year I started making a few thing for my son's preschool. Then again this year also. It was mostly simple things like pillow cases and painting smocks. Then I made a few skirts and bags. I am having so much fun with it I decided to try and do more. I wish I had documented my other projects. Oh well, I wasn't really thinking I would do much more than I did. So now I am going to try and do more documenting of my work and sharing it with whom ever would like.
I think it will be a fun process! Hope you will enjoy it too.

Here is my first complete quilt:

Thanks,

Room Reno

Here is the room I am trying to paint and make into Nathan's room. I have been trying to get this done for sometime now. I am hoping I will finally get this done sometime this year. The wall need some repairing before I can paint them. I am beginning to think that maybe I should wallpaper it, but not sure if that would hide the flaws in the wall or show them. One wall has some color blocking on it. The other wall had color blocking on it also. I thought sanding the edge down would make the wall even again, but that didn't work. It also didn't help that I used some old paint to cover it and it left the wall with a slight texture. Now I don't how to get rid of it. Ugh!

Much help is needed.

My Photo Card Images

I am a black and white photographer. I was working in the traditional method. I love working with large and medium format cameras. I love going into the darkroom and developing the film, then printing the image. This past winter I lost my darkroom to the West LRT. It was very sad. So I have lost my ability to do my art, for now. One day I hope to be able to build my own darkroom. At this time that is not a possibility.

Right now I have quite o bit of art work sitting in by basement. I would love to show you and hopefully you or some you know would like.

This week I and posting the images from my Card set. I have five images that I have made into blank card. The cards are 5 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. Perfect for any occasion. You can even frame them. I sell them as a set of 5 for $5.00.

Here is a link to the five images. http://www.flickr.com/photos/43047739@N06/sets/72157623938976802/

Well, I am probably like everyone else in the word, always working on their home. I have now found a great app to help. It is http://www.floorplanner.com/ best of all it is free! So, now all I have to do is measure the place up and put it into the planner. Hopefully I can get some before pics done also. So once the house is all fixed up, I can see how things went. Hopefully, I can go from a pretty ordinary place to a unique one. I hope you can all help on on this journey.
Thanks,
Jera
